October 2010: Martec Selected for 2010 Export Awards

Martec has been selected as a Top 25 Exporter for the 2010 BC Export Awards

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada – Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) and the Ministry of Small Business, Technology and Economic Development have announced  The 2010 Top 25 Exporters in British Columbia, Canada.  Martec Recycling Corporation is the selected finalist in the Sustainability award category.

This year marks the 28th Anniversary of the BC Export Awards, and Martec is proud to join an illustrious and exclusive group of British Columbia organizations that have proven to be world class exporters.

For almost three decades by now, the BC Export Awards has recognized the achievements of more than 350 BC exporters.  On November 19, 2010, more than 500 of British Columbia’s top business leaders and government officials will be in attendance at this year’s BC Export Awards Gala Luncheon in Vancouver to celebrate the accomplishments of the winners and hear their success stories.  For more details about the BC Export Awards, click here.

August 2010: Martec’s New Strategic Outpost in the GCC Countries

Martec Recycling Corporation (“Martec”), a Vancouver based Canadian company is an international supplier of the advanced Hot In-place Recycling (“HIR”) technology and the AR2000 Super Recycler trains. Martec aims to further the worldwide distribution of the HIR technology by forming strategic partnerships with companies experienced in the road rehabilitation industry.

Created on May 25, 1981, the 630-million-acre (2,500,000 km2) Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) comprises the Persian Gulf states of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. GCC economies are now recovering and growth this year is likely to average 4.4 per cent and then rise to 4.7 per cent in 2011, following just 0.3 per cent growth in 2009, the Institute of International Finance (IIF) has forecast.

Martec Bund Corporation will enhance Martec’s campaign for establishing the HIR method in road maintenance as the most economical, effective and clean alternative to costly conventional repaving techniques. The AR2000 will continue paving the way to a greener future – now in the GCC region.
